What 4.0 added
Higgsfield’s 12 August 2026 Cinema Studio 4.0 update is positioned for longer, more reference-rich direction: official messaging highlights clips up to 30 seconds and as many as 50 references, alongside camera and optical controls.
Those numbers are product claims to verify in the live UI. Duration, reference slots and credit cost can differ by model and plan.
- Announced 2026-08-12
- Up to 30-second generations where offered
- Up to 50 references where offered
- Camera, lens and lighting controls
How to direct a 4.0 shot
Write subject action and camera path as separate instructions. Assign each reference one job: identity, wardrobe, location, product or grade. Start with one lens feeling and one movement before stacking orbits, zooms and cranes.
Review before you extend
Longer clips create more opportunities for drift. Inspect identity, object permanence, physics, first and last frames, and the join if you extend. Compare the same shot card on Polox AI.
